Losang served as religious and technical advisor and actor in the movie Kundun, based on the life and writings of the Dalai Lama. The movie reveals the passionate commitment, devotion, and reverence of the Tibetan people, and serves to preserve the rich ancient culture of Tibet. As a Tibetan who was forced to flee Tibet in 1959, lived as a monk in the Dalai Lama’s Monastery in India, and served as personal assistant to the Dalai Lama, Losang offers unique insight into the life of the 14th Dalai Lama, Tibetan culture and history, and the Tibetan people.
